ART
+ MANAGEMENT
The house that Outsource built, or builds, needs pillars to stand on and sturdy ground. The ideas presented below each have their critical places in how I manage outsourcing, both from a client and vendor point of view. When a project starts showing red flags, how do you mitigate that and still stay on point, juggling stakeholders needs, studios availabilities and limited resources? Throw in concurrent teams all running to meet a single goal.Throughout my many years as a production artist, lead and outsource manager I've encountered many different scenarios and helped work through the pains of growth, to create whole new departments. Moving forward my goal is to continue to contribute my skillset and experience on the NEXT GENERATION of games and content production.
KNOWLEDGE
Time tested and product validated experience is not a value individuals can purchase. Perseverance through all forms of production, from Free to Play Slots to AAA Releases, and startup indies. Each of these present challenges that are only gained through trials and tribulations, and staying focused to learn the lessons, and finally return information that benefits ALL ways, shapes and forms of Art Outsourcing
TEAM
How does outsourcing work as part of your team? It's a very large question that offers varying degrees of responses. Often times my first encounter with building great internal OS (outsourcing) pipelines is managing the 'enthusiasm' that comes with the territory. Working through 5 full pipeline developments and implementations at companies like Zynga and Studio Wildcard takes a Team-oriented approach to succeed
RESOURCES
Documentation, Assets, Budgets, Manpower...all a few of the many variables to balance each day. This is the higher level aspect of the management process and starts to overlap with project managers and clients. The ability to negotiate for more resources and counter the in's and out's of business development WHILE maintaining production takes skill, training and mental acuity to problem solve and get results based on experience driven data
SCHEDULE
Mission Critical when it comes to outsourcing. Different entertainment genres (even within games) demand different outsourcing solutions, and schedule is a large variable of the goals that can be set and achieved realistically. Outsourcing sometimes is a necessity based on the frenzy of game development, understanding the needs and working through the schedule allows successful external dev

HIGH LEVEL MANAGEMENT
Forged in Fire at Midway Games, I've continued to focus my extracurricular training on advanced Outsourcing, Forward Focused Pipeline Initiatives, Networking and Project Management to become a certified professional in the game and entertainment markets.
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
Unreal 5.4+ and Unity6 are exciting, but require constant re-evaluation to keep up with todays consumer needs. This includes shading techniques, rigging and animation, previz, and some very exciting ideas that have not been realized (in the wild) reshaping the creative landscape.
20 YEARS AAA EXPERIENCE
Having worked on games like 'Crash:Team Rumble' down to humble Award Winning indie games like 'Cradle to the Grave', throw in a few startups, some that turned into Zynga, and a few old classics that just couldn't float in todays market. It's good to be here.
